Verbal Diversity CEO, Charlotte Wood, provides one-on-one therapy and consultations as part of her private practice.

While these services align with the Verbal Diversity mission, they are managed independently from the Verbal Diversity Community Interest Company (CIC).

At our centre, we offer a comprehensive range of services tailored to meet the unique needs of children, including personalised therapy consultations, school/nursery visits and clinical supervision.

Individual Therapy & Consultation Services

Personalised Therapy

Charlotte Wood offers specialised support tailored to meet the unique communication needs of children and adults. Charlotte empowers her clients by focusing on their strengths, helping them build communication skills that could range from basic gesture and voice output technology use to refined oracy and public speaking.

Personalised Speech & Language Therapy

Charlotte Wood offers specialised one-on-one therapy for children and young adults who experience challenges in sequencing language, such as organising thoughts, understanding and using logical order in conversations, and developing oracy skills. This includes difficulties with retrieving words and using grammar effectively.

Therapy sessions also support individuals who struggle with producing clear speech, coordinating speech movements, and understanding social cues, and those who communicate primarily through non-verbal means.

Charlotte’s holistic approach and Notice Adapt Celebrate framework help individuals who find it challenging to understand others or to express themselves effectively. The goal is to enhance each client’s ability to communicate confidently and effectively in their everyday environments, in collaboration with their family and circle of support.

These principles continue to shape her approach to art, therapy and education.

Her professional path has been enriched by various certifications and training, including educational neuroscience, Shin-rin Yoku (forest bathing), organic gardening, music, and children’s yoga. This diverse skill set allows her to, weave science, nature, music, food, drama, and movement-based storytelling into her work.
